YOUTH CLASSES

Art Lab is a creative space designed just for tweens—a place to experiment, take creative risks, and discover new ways of making art. Each session introduces exciting materials, techniques, and projects inspired by contemporary artists, nature, and the world around us. Students will build artistic skills while developing their own ideas and creative voice. With an emphasis on curiosity, exploration, and self-expression, Art Lab encourages tweens to think creatively, solve problems, and have fun making art in a supportive, welcoming environment. All materials provided.
Fall Session I runs from August 22 through October 10, 2026. There will be a break Labor Day weekend (September 5). 7 sessions.
Saturdays 10-11:30am
Calling all young makers! Craft Club is a fun, hands-on class where elementary-aged children can explore a new creative project each week using a variety of materials and techniques. From painting and collage to fiber arts, sculpture, and seasonal crafts, every session is an opportunity to imagine, experiment, and make something uniquely their own. Along the way, kids will build confidence, develop creative problem-solving skills, and enjoy the process of making in a supportive, encouraging environment where creativity and curiosity are celebrated. All materials provided.

Saturdays 10-11:30am
This class is for teens that want to improve their art and start building up their art portfolio for college applications, grants and scholarships. We will rotate through drawing, painting, and clay as we work toward developing well thought out and completed portfolio work. Our project blocks may include perspective drawing, still life drawing, figure drawing, clay pottery, and acrylic and watercolor painting. Teens that take classes will have the opportunity to apply to work as a summer assistant or intern. All supplies included.
Time: Thursdays 5:00pm-6:15pm
This class is designed specifically for kids in middle school - grades 6th-8th.
The most pivotal time in a young artist's life is between the ages 11-15. Our Tween students get a lot of instruction and encouragement to take their art to the next level in a supportive environment. We will be exploring all kinds of drawing techniques, including observational drawing, perspective drawing, and composition. All supplies included.
Time: Tuesdays 5:00pm-6:15pm
Session runs from August 10 - October 9 with a break the week of September 7 (8 sessions)
Designed for kids in 1st-3rd grade that want to build up their confidence as artists. This drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpting class is full of experimenting, exploration and movement. We will focus on process-based art with an emphasis in exploring materials and developing a strong visual aesthetic by experimenting with color, line, texture, and 2-D and 3-D design. Students will learn to appreciate their artistic differences and celebrate their successes. Dress to get messy! 8 week class. All supplies included.
