Discover the rich, expressive possibilities of oil paint in this relaxed and exploratory workshop. You’ll experiment with color, texture, brushwork, layering, and blending while learning how to work with the unique qualities of oils. Rather than focusing on creating a perfect finished painting, the workshop encourages you to play, experiment, and develop your own approach.

Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to loosen up and explore a new medium. Come curious, get messy, and see where the paint takes you!

Friday, November 13, 6:30-8:30pm

Adults, no experience necessary

Get creative with glass in this fun and relaxed painting workshop! Choose a drinking glass or vase and transform it with your own colorful design. You’ll learn simple techniques for painting on glass, experimenting with color, pattern, and decorative details to create a piece that’s uniquely yours.

Whether you’re making a beautiful vase for your favorite flowers or a pair of special drinnking glasses, you’ll leave with a handmade piece to enjoy or give as a gift. No painting experience necessary—just bring your creativity!

Materials provided (though you are welcome to bring 2 glasses or a vase from home if you want to up-cycle). Bring-your-own refreshments welcome.

Registration options includes 1 Adult + 1 Child or 1 Adult + 2 Children

Spend some creative time together in this fun fall-inspired adult/child workshop! Each pair will design and decorate a canvas tote inspired by the shapes and colors of favorite autumn vegetables. You’ll create your own veggie designs, trace them onto the tote, and bring them to life with colorful pieces of fabric and felt. Add finishing touches with fabric markers and other embellishments to make your tote uniquely yours. A fun, hands-on project for kids and grown-ups to create together!

Ages 16+, all materials provided, no experience necessary

Macramé, or the art of knotting cord in decorative and intricate patterns, is a fun and beautiful craft with endless possibilities! Great for all skill levels. 

In this workshop, you’ll receive personalized guidance fit for beginners or intermediate crafters! You’ll practice several basic macrame knots with a mini project then graduate to making your own plant hanger in the color(s) of your choice! Learn about creating fluffy fringe, securing your work and adding accents to make it your own. You’ll get familiar with essential macrame supplies and where to get them. 

At the end of the workshop, you’ll go home with your completed mini project, completed plant hanger, and supplies to complete another plant hanger on your own.

Ages 16+, all materials provided, no experience necessary

Jump on the analog bandwagon and trade your notes app for a handmade notebook! In this basic bookbinding workshop, you’ll learn to create pamphlet stitch books to use as notebooks, journals, or sketchbooks! After learning the basic 3-hole stitch, we’ll cover a double-pamphlet variation as well. These mini notebooks are an ideal size for your purse or tote, and they make perfect holiday gifts for family and friends.

Adults, all materials provided, no experience necessary

Is your child a prolific artist? If you have piles of artwork too plentiful to display and too precious to discard, this workshop is for you. You will learn how to transform that art into timeless keepsakes and holiday gifts. Bring a stack of your child’s paintings, drawings, coloring pages, and works on paper that you are okay with cutting up (with their permission!). We’ll cut and combine sections to create ornaments, bookmarks, garland, and more (some will depend on what you bring). We will help you honor your child’s creativity through this process of reuse and transformation, but please keep their most groundbreaking masterpieces at home.

AN ARTFUL PAUSE BEFORE THE HOLIDAY RUSH - with Karen Thompson

Neurographic Art:  Relax, Reset, Ground. Before the holiday season begins, give yourself a little space to slow down.  This practice will help you head into the stress of family gatherings by quieting the mind, releasing tension, and reconnecting with the present moment. Using simple flowing lines, shapes and color, we'll create artwork that allows us to slow down and enjoy the process.

Come spend a little creative time with us this holiday season! Enjoy a relaxed, festive evening of watercolor painting as you create one-of-a-kind holiday cards or pictures to give to the people you love. Whether you're an experienced painter or picking up a brush for the first time, you'll have fun experimenting with color, learning a few simple techniques, and making something special by hand. All supplies provided—just bring yourself and a little holiday spirit!

Kids workshop for 4th graders and up - or young-at-heart grownups! Come make paper gingerbread houses with us using a simple origami techniques, collage, and your creativity! Get excited for paint pens, pom poms, and pipe cleaners as we create and decorate paper houses for display or play! Less sticky than the candy versions, but just as sweet. ;)

Cider and gingerbread will be served!

Join us to create gingerbread-inspired ornaments, gift bags, and paper garlands infused with handmade love plus a dash of sugar and spice. Come ready to doodle faux frosting details with acrylic paint pens and transform kraft paper and cardboard into a sweet collection of festive gingerbread-esque decor and gifts.

Explore the expressive possibilities of charcoal in this portrait drawing workshop. Explore techniques for capturing facial features, proportions, light, shadow, and texture while learning to use charcoal to create depth and dimension. Experiment with shading, blending, and mark-making as you bring a portrait to life. Whether you're new to drawing or looking to explore a different medium, this relaxed, hands-on class offers an opportunity to experiment, build skills, and enjoy the creative process.

Join us in celebrating the holiday season with beaded snowflake ornaments! You will be provided a selection of sparkly beads and all the tools you need to succeed. No experience required - just bring your creativity to this relaxed evening of crafting. These snowflakes make beautiful sun-catchers or thoughtful gifts.
