This is a beginning to intermediate level class focused on building upon the foundations of drawing to hone your individual style. It will begin with guided explorations of varied 2D mediums such as charcoal, ink, pencil, and pastels, to gain insight into the ways that different materials can create different marks, atmospheres, and meaning. Students will then build up to developing their own piece that highlights their unique artistic voice with instructor guidance. This class is ideal for students who feel ready to move beyond the technical basics and into the realm of developing their individual artistic practice.
Instructor: Zoe Iatridis
