Unleash your inner child-artist with playful projects in this class that explores kid art for the young at heart! We’ll arrange flowers and play collaborative painting games to depict them. We’ll experiment with mark-making at painting stations, and then we’ll collage and create nostalgic paper crafts (oh yes: cootie cachers and DIY sketchbooks). We’ll channel childhood summer camp as we form foam-clay trinkets and try out fiber/textile projects (think: friendship bracelets, yarn pom-poms, and cheeky award badges). Give yourself permission to play and scratch that crafty itch in a fun and beginner-friendly environment. Picasso famously said, “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” Art Club for Grownups is a good place to start. So close your laptop, put down your phone, and take an extended lunch break to destress and play!
